When I was 14, I DID get run over while riding my bike. There was nothing exciting about it. Just tragedy. It didn’t define me, but I think of it often enough to resent careless drivers and to be very nervous when my teenage sons are out riding their bikes. I am 47 years old.

The same thing happened to me, the guy had to drive onto the sidewalk I just kept on riding my bike our world lacks true excitement.
Something about reading this secretpostcard made something click within me. That feeling doesn’t really have any words but I just thought that the person who shared this should know, you helped something “click” in someone else.
…I think it’s the “and it wasn’t even exciting” part that strikes me the most…
