If you had to choose between keeping your friends and having a job, they were probably a bunch of stoner losers. No big loss, there are plenty of responsible people out there who have fun.

That’s a lie. To chose your job over your friends does NOT mean that you’re picking your job over stoner losers. It could possibly mean that this person’s job consumed all of her time and her friend’s got tired of being pushed aside. It happens. It’s not like they had to be shitty friends that you just cut loose. For all you know, they were damn responsible.
