I've come to the realization that *I* am okay without him in my life because I know that he hasn't changed, but that doesn't stop me from wishing he would take an interest in changing so he can meet his grandsons. I don't think it's ever going to happen, and I'm sad for my children, but they don't know any better, so I think it's better this way. I can relate.
