I have been faking sick for almost 2 years now.

I have been faking sick for almost 2 years now.

I didn’t think it’d last so long.

But now I got used to it.

Ferris Bueller has nothing on me.

just remember movies aren’t real life!
    this is funny though.

So I guess it’s safe to say that you have set different goals in your life than, say, Thomas Jefferson.

Okay, that’s kind of funny and kind of sad, but as someone with MS I would do just about anything to be healthy. I don’t really understand why you want to live my worst fear.

I started skipping school in grade 8. By graduation I was going to about two classes a week, and I still got 80s. Ferris Bueller is my hero.

During my last semester of university, I went to 6 lectures total, and still got Bs.

    I understand.

People like you are the reason that people like me (truly chronically sick) aren’t taken seriously.

I’d do almost anything to get my health back, but doctors just assume I’m faking since they haven’t found a true diagnosis yet.

Man up and tell the truth. Enjoy your health while you can.

Amen to that! Doctor’s didn’t take me seriously either. Actually accused me of making it all up. Then after a year and a half they finally found a diagnosis. A real diagnosis. It wasn’t all in my head. It was real!

I have MS as well as a ton of other auto-immune diseases and I don’t understand it either….

    I don’t think it’s funny either…

Over 2 years and counting for me. I just got a diagnosis a month ago after being told it was all in my head.
J, hang in there. I know it’s humiliating when doctors treat you like an idiot or a liar, but you’ll find your diagnosis eventually.

Your health is truly a blessing. Please don’t take it for granted. I’ve been fighting for my life for five years, and I’m only 19.
Cherish every day you are given to live.

This is actually a mental illness, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Have you ever heard of Munchausen Syndrome? Maybe this is what you have! You should see a physician before it gets more and more serious. It will improve your life quality and the ones of the people around you.

I want to punch you in the face. I have a chronic illness and my teachers treat me like shit because they think I’m faking. You’re the reason why.

i think post secret should take down the comment option. people dont send in their deepest secrets to be judged or to hear opinions for that matter.
