My boyfriend is sooooooo great, and I get the feeling that he’s worried about most of the same things. But no, I’m not bored, I love him. I have the utmost respect for him BECAUSE he treats me so well, even if I make fun of him sometimes, and my friends tease him a lot for it. It was his fears that became a self-fulfilling prophecy. I always felt his projections were unjustified and baseless, and there was nothing I could do that would alleviate them. What finally made me decide to leave was when I made it clear something needed to change, and he didn’t do a thing but withdraw even more. That said to me he didn’t want, for whatever reason, to try to keep me. Oh well.

I would stop singing her praises and feeling guilty for it. I’ve felt this way many times, I think it’s so common because most men have self esteem issues from having too many expectations piled on them since childhood. I’m willing to bet there’s nothing that special about this girl after all but she seems that way because you feel inadequate. Sometimes you need to not give a fuck about her or anybody else for a bit and just be your own man, whatever that is. If you don’t respect yourself, nobody else will and you’re capable of more than you might think.
The same thing happens to me, periodically, but really, I know that she’d never do anything like that, and that she won’t get bored of our relationship, If anyone does, it’ll be me, I hate having to admit that to myself, because I really love her, but it’s true. If she’s really worth it, tell her, and get on with your life. You shouldn’t, as has been said ” Not give a fuck about her or anybody” because it’s people like that who give us guys a bad name when it comes to caring.
