I had a friend (well, I thought he was a friend at the time), who decided it would be cool to spike my drink with the date rape drug one night. That was NOT a cool thing to do. I was sooooooo sick! I was throwing up all over the place & finally passed out for a while. When I came to he was trying to hump me but humping was the extent of it because he had gotten so drunk he could not get it up to do anything else. We laughed about it at the time but I made sure I kept my distance from him from then on. The really sad thing is that I was really into this guy. All he had to do was sweet talk me & I would have been his for the night without using some crazy kind of drug so he could take advantage of me!

I never saw combat. I never got shot. I just hated being forced to be over there when I was finally ready to be a civilian. I would have given my life though, and sometimes, I feel so terrible that I had it so much easier than some others.

to the girl who was date raped- It happend to me too. we were together officially for 5 days, i stayed with him for almost 2 months hoping i could just ignore it and pretend that it never happend. I promise even if you only ever talk about it to one person, someone you know will keep it with them and really listen, it helps. it took me 5 years to really talk to someone and tell them what happend. He no longer has any power over me. I feel free. It still bothers me once in a while, but now i know that there is no excuse for what he did. I made myself very clear that i didnt want to. You can analyze the situation over and over, but the simple truth is that you cant change what happend, and if you knew what was going to happen in the first place you wouldnt have dated the guy at all. You cant erase the past no matter how hard you try, and i know we both tried, but you can draw a bright future. this asshole is in your past for a reason. dont let his memory overshadow any more of your future.

Thanks, I enjoyed reading all these comments I’m sometimes envious of how strong peoples beliefs are. I can’t think of the last thing I cared as much about as you guys caring about other people’s eating habits. What I wouldn’t give to hate someone for putting meat in their sisters food. Nah… just kidding. It’s easier being uninterested, hurts less.

Being a vegetarian saved my life and restored my health. I was allergic to dairy and other products that had clogged my system.

If you’re a vegetarian who hasn’t eaten meat in years your body will react like it’s being poisoned if meat is put into it. Not deadly poisonous but you will get ill to seriously ill (depending on how long you’ve been a vegetarian/how much meat there is in it)

Amazingly put. The purpose of the entire project is to create bonds, to show others that they are not alone, and to inspire each other to grow. Yeahh, I’ve been a vegetarian for 2 years now and I never tell others how to eat. My whole family eats meat and my mom usually doesn’t want to cook two meals so I have to make my own food. I never judge others for their eating habits, and yeah people make fun of me. I’m okay with it though.

Same. I, too am a vegetarian. I don’t know a single other vegetarian. I don’t push it up their throats; on the other hand, they make fun of me for being a veggie. They always try to tempt me into eating meat. I hate it. When someone tells me how stupid I am for being a vegetarian, i always feel like crying. It’s my choice; bug off! I’m not going to argue with anyone about whether or not they or I should be veggie. I don’t think anyone could do anything that would make them deserve someone to mess with their personal eating choices.

If your waitress can’t handle working in a non-vegetarian restaurant the maybe she needs to quit. I am a vegan (not onl no meat, but NO animal products or byproducts whatsoever) and even I wouldn’t do that. At a restaurant it is your job to offer friendly service and you were in no way personally insulting her just by ordering steak. It wasnt until she had a problem with HOW you wanted your steak that you started being nasty to her, yknow? (Besides, why does that make a difference? Either way, youre eating a cow, why does she see a difference in how its cooked? ) She should have kept her mouth shut.

I’m a vegetarian, and I’m not judging people who aren’t just because I am veggie. I’m dating a meat eater, and my friends and family and everyone i meet judge ME b/c i’m veggie.

I honestly think eating meat is disgusting but I 100% respect people who eat meat.

Once at Chili’s the waitress asked me how I wanted my steak cooked.
I said, “as rare as possible.”
She got all indignant, and said, “that’s disgusting. I’m a vegetarian. If you’re going to slaughter a cow for your meal, you should at least respect it.”
So I said, “scratch that, I want it barely stopped moo-ing”
She left.
When she came back and set my plate on the table, I put my ear up to the steak and mooed.
“Perfect”

Seriously though, vegetarians just by being vegetarians are making a statement and a judgment about people who aren’t.

Excuse you, but I am a vegetarian, and all my friends but one are meat eaters, my boyfriend is a meat eater, and I’ve never EVER judged them because of what they eat. My family all eat meat too, and my dad OBSESSES over it, but I don’t judge them based on what they eat either.

If someone chooses not to eat meat, you should RESPECT THAT, because they aren’t force feeding you tofu, they respect that you eat meat, even if they don’t agree with you.
